Beginning, Middle, and Ending Sounds

Are your students having trouble identifying sounds in different locations?  I have found a great product to help practice this skill.  Kristen over at  Kristen's Kindergarten has this Beginning, Middle, and Ending Sounds pack over at her TpT store.

This pack contains picture cards and recording sheets to identify sounds in different locations.  The pictures she used are easy to name.  The best part...the picture cards are both in color and bw!!  LOVE that option!!

The beginning and ending sounds look like this.  Simple enough for my kinders to do independently during learning tub times!

The middle sounds have the vowel cards to work on sorting too!

The best part....a lot of us are having a sale over at Tpt for March Madness!  Be sure to check out her store and mine too!

It's Product Swap Time

MrsStanfordsClass
My partner this time is Stephanie over at Primary Possibilities.  This is a great blog to check out if you haven't yet.

I tried out her Play-dough Math activities.  These are a great pack of common core based math activities  using play-dough.  What kid doesn't love using play-dough?!
There are shapes to build and practice naming.  These would be great to roll snakes and build it so you can talk about sides and corners and such.
There are number boards with dots that correspond.  My smartie rolled balls to match the number and then held up the fingers to match.  These would be great to cut apart and make a matching game with too!
There are ten frames too!
There are also addition cards.  She rolled the balls for the problem and then in the end made snakes to make the numeral for the answer.

I don't use pictures from my classroom on her but these are a huge hit!  I would recommend this set for all Kindergarten teachers!

Be sure to check out Stephanie's TpT store and blog.  (She'll be posting about my Pirate unit!)

Have a great weekend!

Product Swap Part 2 (with giveaway!)

MrsStanfordsClass

Remember I said I got to do not one but TWO products so here is part deux.

My next product comes Cheryl over at Crayons & Curls.

She sent me her wonderful I Can Read the Alphabet set.  The set has some beautiful graphics to reinforce letters and beginning sounds.  You can check it out in her TpT store here.

The first part of this set is an adorable alphabet reader.  The best part....it is in black and white so easy to print class sets!  Unfortunately no real pictures of my kiddos doing this one but no worries cute pics to follow.
My daughter adored the beginning sound match sheets.  She was mad that I wouldn't take a picture of her doing each one! : )
What's better than teamwork?  This activity that both of my kiddos enjoyed!  These too cute for words flashcards were colored and cut with care.  Then we enjoyed some uppercase/lowercase matching and flashcard naming.

We had a lot of fun with this set.  It is easy to print being full of black and white pages!  It is only $4.00 and so worth it.

Hop over to Cheryl's TpT store here (hurry and you might find a surprise)!

Be sure to stop by her blog to check out all of her fun happenings!

Now for some fun, enter the Rafflecopter below to win a copy of Cheryl's unit and my Down on the Farm pack (which is on sale right now!) that she reviewed for the product swap!

Happy shopping!

MrsStanfordsClass

That's right!  We're at it again.  I got to review not one but two products this time!

TIFFANI
My first product comes from Tiffani over at Time 4 Kindergarten.

I got to check out her Alphabet Up a Tree unit.  You can find it in her TpT store here.

This cute unit has some great letter recognition and beginning sound games.  The graphics are adorable!

These amazingly cute cards were loved by my kiddos.  My daughter enjoyed matching them all up with upper, lower, and beginning sounds.  My son worked with hubby on a rousing game of which letter says /m/.

Both kiddos enjoyed the alphabet tree upper/lower matching.

This unit includes:  the matching cards (upper/lower/beginning sounds), D'Nealian handwriting pages, letter matching trees, cut and paste activities, graphing questions, and class book covers.

All of this is only $4.00!  Crazy, I know.  This is one you have to check out!

Head over now to Tiffani's TpT store to grab this unit.  (Psst...you might just find a flash sale there so hurry!)

Don't forget to check out her amazing blog as well!

Now for the great giveaway!  When a copy of Tiffani's Alphabet Up a Tree unit and my Crayon Box That Talked unit  (which is on sale right now!) that she reviewed!

Good luck!

Product Swap

MrsStanfordsClass

My partner is Vera over at Bedford Love and Teaching.

Bedford, Love, and Teaching

She is was busy lady but has a great blog!

She sent me over her Eat your Veggies! A Fruit and Vegetable Unit.  This unit has 43 pages of great activities to match the theme.  It includes: a memory game, fruits and vegetables sort, roll and graph, number hunt, vocabulary cards, and a find your fruit game.

*I took pictures of my own kiddos using these materials but my camera isn't cooperating...grrr*
*Instead here are some snippets from her unit.  Please note these are not complete pictures, just enough to entice you!*

The memory match works on matching the picture to the correct word.  I love that you can differentiate with this if needed.  Simply print two sets of foods to do a beginning matchings game (which my 2 year old loved) or do the picture to word match (which my 4 year old adored)!

The sorting include more cute graphic fruits and veggies.  Then there are 6 different sorting sheets to choose from and a blank sorting sheet to add your own headings.  Another great activity that is easy to differentiate.

The roll and graph activity includes a fruit key/graph and a veggie key/graph.  It also has a survey tool to work on tally marks!

The number hunt is one of my favorites.  I do love these graphics!  The numbers 0 - 10 are represented in this three part match up.  I can think of so many other ways to use these!  There is also a little worksheet that you can use as an assessment or work check to this center.

The vocabulary cards are simple and perfect for a number of activities.  You could add them to a themed word wall, writing station or science wall.  I could also see these used for alphabetical order activities and even a whole class pocket chart sort!

The find the sight word game is a great idea!  Students go around the room to find words to write next to the corresponding fruit on their sheet!

This unit is definitely worth the $3 asking price!

Please go share some love with Vera.  Be sure to follow her blog, Bedford Love and Teaching, and her TpT store.  Don't forget to add her Eat Your Veggies unit to your wishlist now!!

You can head over and check out her review of my The Crayon Box That Talked color words unit!
