Double Check Writing Paper (freebie)

Please tell me I'm not the only one who is still having to remind their K kids to put spaces and punctuation!  In an effort to make them become better self-editors of their writing, I created this writing paper.  If you have any ideas of how to improve it, let me know!

Thank you for creating what every teacher needs, a way for students to take responsibility for their writing. This is amazing!!!!

I teach 1/2 and I still need to remind them. This is great. Is there a way you could post one that replaces the picture box with lines?
Thanks.

Great idea! I'm going to try it out this week! Is it okay if I tweak it a bit? I like to add titles and theme graphics to my writing paper.

I use space bears- large popsicle sticks with bear stickers on them for the spaces. And we kiss our brain after our periods.

Remember that they are five and most of them are so focused on the words, formulating an idea,, etc. that some things just get forgotten.
I made a gigantic rubric on poster paper and it hangs for them to see. Then I have another one with 5 fingers which we review before they start to write...PS They still forget! I even have the rubric on their writing paper which does help to some extent. My kids never remember punctuation.
I love that you validated my frustrations!

This is great! I would love the publisher's version so that I can change it for my first graders.
